Simpson Is The Man At The Players!

Coming up to the final hole with a commanding 20-under par total, he lands his second shot on the green only to see it slip right into the water. He takes a drop, makes a double bogey and wins the 2018 Players Championship.

What a player! Webb Simpson (pictured), after going without a win on Tour for nearly four and a half years, came storming back to beat one of the most formidable fields to wrest the trophy and a cool US$1.98 million!

Simpson shot a final round of one-over 73 which left him at 18-under 268, four shots clear of runners-up Charl Schwartzel, Xander Schauffele and Jimmy Walker.

While the double bogey at hole 18 reduced the final margin of victory, it did very little to change anything for Simpson. After 107 tries since his last win, he had demolished a field of the best golfers in the world. And that’s what mattered at the end of the day!
