Nordqvist Wins The Cat-Fight!
When destiny deems victory, nothing can shake its call. This was definitely the case with Anna Nordqvist (pictured) who clung on to her lead and rode it out to victory at the Bank Of Hope Founders Cup in Phoenix.
She was headed to match the course record but destiny did not allow that to happen. Whatever the case, she turned in an impressive score-card that had her winning the tournament with a final score of 25-under par 263.
Nordqvist was paired with world number two, Thailand’s Ariya Jutanugarn who was let down by tricky holes. The Thai super-star tied for second with Stacey Lewis and South Korea’s In Gee Chun at 23-under par.
Hole-in-one winner Ha Na Jang tied for 5th with former world number one Inbee Park at 21-under par.
Thailand’s Moriya Jutanugarn, the older sister to Ariya was tied 8th with world number one Lydia Ko at 20-under par.
