Kang Scores A Big One For Asia!

South Korea’s Sung Kang (pictured) scored a huge win at the AT&T Byron Nelson championship – a win that would have made the legendary Nelson proud!

Victory at Nelson’s prestigious tournament is Kang’s maiden win on the world’s toughest professional tournament.

On day two of the tournament, the South Korean flirted with a 59 throughout the second round. He finished with a 10-under 61, good enough for a 4-shot lead entering the weekend.

He took advantage of the strong lead to hold on to the top spot and never looked back in the final round. He wrapped up his first win on the PGA Tour with a final score of 23-under par, two clear strokes ahead of the Matt Every and Scott Piercy who tied for second place.

In fourth place was world number three Brookes Koepka.

Kang’s win was given a further boost when Thailand’s Kiradech Aphibarnrat put on a stellar display to finish fifth at 17-under par.

Time to celebrate Asia – pop the champagne and show our boys that all of Asia is right behind them!
