Almost A Clean Sweep By Asians!
Asian teams were seen battling in earnest at the final round of the LPGA’s Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational.
While a full Asian team did not lift the title, it was good enough for Asia as teammates Jasmine Suwannapura of Thailand and Cydney Clanton of the United States won the inaugural tournament.
The winning team were five shots ahead of the formidable Thai pairing of the Jutanugarn sisters, Ariya and Moriya, and shot an 11-under-par 59 in the better-ball format to win by six.
South Korea’s Jin Young Ko and Australia’s Minjee Lee finished second with the Jutanugarns and South Korea’s Na Yeon Choi and Jenny Shin tying for third, seven shots back.
