Anchoring Ban Is Right Decision For Golf, Says Dawson

St Andrews, Scotland (May 21): Anchoring a golf club in making a stroke is to be banned. In a decision that will be opposed by numerous high-profile professionals, golf’s ruling bodies – The R&A and the United States Golf Association (USGA) – announced the adoption of Rule 14-1b of the Rules of Golf that prohibits anchoring the club in making a stroke.
